Why convert SVG to PNG or JPG?

SVG is perfect for websites and design tools, but plenty of places won't take it. Social media, Word and PowerPoint, email signatures, marketplaces and many upload forms want a regular image. Converting the SVG to PNG gives you a sharp picture with a transparent background. Converting to JPG gives you the smallest file, on a solid background.

Because SVG is a vector, you choose the output size. A 24-pixel icon can be exported at 2048 pixels and still have perfectly crisp edges.

How to convert SVG to PNG

  1. Add SVG files. Drag them in or tap Choose files. Batches of up to 200 are fine.
  2. Choose PNG or JPG. For JPG, also pick quality and a background color.
  3. Set the size. Scale multiplies the SVG's own size (2 means double). Max dimension caps the longest side in pixels.
  4. Convert and download each image, or all of them as a ZIP.

Picking the right export size

If an SVG has no width and height set, the tool reads its viewBox to work out the size, and falls back to 1024 pixels if neither exists.

Why does my exported image look different?

Two things cause most problems. Text in an SVG uses fonts installed on your computer, so if the font isn't available, the browser substitutes a similar one. Converting text to outlines in your design app before exporting fixes it. SVGs that load images or fonts from other websites can also be blocked by the browser for security reasons. Embed those resources in the file, or export the SVG again with everything included.
